PID CONTROL SYSTEM
PID( proportional–integral–derivative controller) control is a feedback mechanism used in a control system. By calculating and controlling three parameters – the proportional, integral and derivative of how much a process variable deviates from the desired set point value – we can achieve different control actions for specific work.
PID (proportional–integral–derivative controller) controllers are considered to be the best controller in the control system family. PID system used to control different process variables like pressure, flow, temperature and speed in industrial applications. In this controller, closed-loop feedback is used to maintain the real output from a method like close to the objective otherwise output at the fixed point if possible. This controller provides good results as compared with the ON/OFF type controller. Once the process value is lower than the fixed point, then it will turn ON. Similarly, it will turn OFF once the value is higher than a fixed value. The output is not stable in this kind of controller and it will swing frequently in the region of the fixed point. However, this controller is more steady & accurate as compared to the ON/OFF type controller. PID controller is used in industrial control applications to regulate temperature, flow, pressure, speed and other process variables. PID controllers use a control loop feedback mechanism to control process variables and are the most accurate and stable controller.
